Hired for the fourth time by my visionary client, I eagerly dove into designing her spectacular hilltop home in Thousand Oaks, capitalizing on its breathtaking views. She envisioned a Mediterranean-style retreat, and we transformed the space by raising the cramped 8-foot ceilings to soaring 10-foot vaulted ceilings, dramatically enhancing the home’s airy ambiance. We removed a wall that once divided a dark family room, opening it to the stunning vista beyond. Arches, lime-washed walls, reclaimed gray hardwood floors, and custom hand-made Spanish tiles infused the home with European villa charm, creating a timeless, elegant escape that ranks among my favorite design transformations.
